The workshop aims to build on existing international and global collaboration on price transparency like information sharing platform initiatives of the WHO, the Price Information Exchange for Medicines (PIEMEDs) web-based platform. While some AMS such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Viet Nam, Lao PDR and Thailand already provide price information in either of these platforms, the participation is not uniform and consistent among AMS. This platform has the potential to expand the scope of price monitoring to other products deemed to be of high priority to the ASEAN including high cost medicines and diagnostics. Hence, this project proposes to: (1) adopt the WHO-PIEMEDs, as the drug price sharing venue, by the AMS; and (2) conduct a workshop to standardize the data to be shared through PIEMEDs
