Pursuant to the Government’s thrust towards Universal Health Care (UHC) and in light of the major changes in the pharmaceutical landscape, the Department of Health, through the Pharmaceutical Division (PD), is currently crafting the new medium-term Philippine Medicines Policy (PMP) to be implemented from the years 2022 to 2030. The policy document outlines an 8-year comprehensive strategic plan to mobilize all key players in the pharmaceutical sector to implement evidence-based policies, improve sustainability programs and leverage best practices throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain. Thus, there is a vital need to consult all offices, agencies and stakeholders who shall be involved in the implementation of the policy.
